‘Reformed’ Star makes final plea to save Sydney casino licence

The Star Entertainment Group has asked a regulatory inquiry to recognise its management bloodletting and operational reforms as part of a last-ditch effort to hold on to its Sydney casino licence, as a new inquiry is called to examine its Queensland businesses.

The Palaszczuk government bowed to pressure to launch an independent review of Star’s suitability to run its casinos in Brisbane and the Gold Coast on Tuesday, after a mountain of evidence was presented to the NSW inquiry.
