Crown Resorts wants to add pokies to the mix at its Sydney casino

Blackstone’s Crown Resorts has asked the NSW government for permission to install poker machines at its casino in Sydney as it attempts to recover from a difficult year and rebuild its earnings.

The Australian Financial Review reported earlier this year that Crown, which operates poker machines at its casinos in Melbourne and Perth but has been barred from doing so in Sydney, had previously appealed to the government to be allowed to do so. That initial request had been knocked back.
