Crown directors’ bonuses in doubt as BEAR considered for casino execs

Lucrative bonuses for Crown Resorts’ directors and executives are under threat after counsel assisting a royal commission into the casino giant recommended the banking executive accountability regime (BEAR) apply to gaming executives to ensure the horror of Crown’s widespread lawbreaking is not repeated.

In their final written submissions to the inquiry, the lawyers urged the introduction of measures that would include putting directors’ bonuses on ice and pinning clear areas of accountability to specific managers.
