New Crown Resorts chairman Helen Coonan says the casino giant has shown it does not have a tin ear to investor and regulatory concerns about its governance, after announcing a reshuffle that means long-time Packer family lieutenant John Alexander will give up his role as executive chairman.

Current chief financial officer Ken Barton, who has been with the group for a decade, will become chief executive.
