Blackstone’s Crown to shed 1000 jobs in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth

Crown Resorts will cut up to 1000 jobs across its three casinos in a major restructure designed to offset weak economic conditions and ensure the group remains viable to compete with the best casinos in Asia.

Chief executive Ciaran Carruthers informed staff on Monday that he would restructure operations in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, a decision that will reduce the number of employees at a corporate and precinct level by about 4 per cent.
