Bekier blames ‘subculture’ of ‘dark arts’ for Star’s misconduct

Former Star Entertainment CEO Matt Bekier has blamed a bad “subculture” in the casino’s high roller business arm for the widespread misconduct uncovered at the company, saying it dealt in “a bit of a dark art”.

Mr Bekier said that he was “personally let down” by a slew of his colleagues in the division who allowed the wrongdoing to occur.
