Westpac appoints KPMG partner as new CFO

Westpac is a step closer to finalising its executive line-up after the bank appointed KPMG partner and former ANZ banker Michael Rowland to the position of chief financial officer on Tuesday.
The appointment deepens the links between the bank and KPMG while also seeing a trusted former lieutenant of the bank's chairman, John McFarlane, brought back into the fold.
