We should be glad banks are speaking up
Australia’s big banks are at the coalface of the economy. Governments should be listening when they highlight the need for change.
Nick HossackColumnistThere was an inkling last week that the confidence of banking executives is starting to re-assert, with key staff appearing at The Australian Financial Review Banking Summit and calling directly on the Albanese government to get on with economic reform.
By doing so, they are implicitly painting a picture of a government too focused on politicking and failing on advancing productivity.
