Reinsurance costs to rise amid disasters: IAG

IAG has warned costs of insuring itself from big disasters will keep rising, echoing a trend across the insurance industry.
The Sydney-based insurer said anticipated higher “reinsurance” costs – along with ongoing natural disasters, such as flooding in Victoria this month – has resulted in it hiking premiums for customers.
