Pandemic insurer ruling triggers hefty investor payback

Insurers are flagging more than $450 million will soon be returned to investors after the High Court rejected further legal appeals against pandemic-related business interruption insurance claims.
IAG, Suncorp and QBE are among insurers that had socked away more than $1 billion in provisions for lawsuits potentially affecting thousands of businesses.
