The embattled CEO of former glamour tech stock Nuix, Rod Vawdrey, is facing questions over his global oversight role in his former position at Fujitsu, which is facing intense scrutiny over an IT scandal that has engulfed the British Post Office.
The Horizon IT scandal unfolded from 2000 to 2014. Fujitsu built the software that falsely recorded shortfalls in Post Office branch cash balances, leading to the 736 prosecutions of sub-postmasters, 39 overturned convictions and a 2019 agreement by the Post Office to compensate 550 postmasters.
