National Australia Bank's new head of retail banking is hopeful a freshly inked enterprise agreement will take some of the heat off the bank as a stoush brews over teller pay and incentives.

Last week the Australian Bankers' Association extended the deadline for submissions to its industry-sponsored review of retail banker remuneration, headed by former public service commissioner Steven Sedgwick.
