Bank cartel case a ‘complete shemozzle’: judge

The ACCC’s high-profile criminal cartel case against three leading banks was a “complete shemozzle” and material defects would have to be corrected before it could proceed, a Federal Court judge has ruled.

Justice Michael Wigney struck out a second indictment filed in August and said a proposed third indictment could “make matters worse”.
