Macquarie wins appeal on underpayment of wealth advisers
Macquarie Bank has scored a historic win in a long-running wage case, after successfully appealing a decision that found it underpaid 48 advisers $1.3 million.
However, the lawyer for the advisers warned the decision has broader implications for the historic underpayment of commission-only advisers within the finance sector.
