Macquarie’s Nick O’Kane trumps CEO again with $58m payday

Macquarie Group’s Nicholas O’Kane stands to be the country’s top executive earner after he banked $57.6 million last year, unseating every Australian chief executive in the pay ranks including his own boss, Shemara Wikramanayake.

Mr O’Kane’s total remuneration comfortably eclipsed that of Macquarie’s CEO – who was Australia’s highest-paid last year – by approximately $25 million.
