Industry funds to back Murray as AMP chairman
Industry super funds are likely to ratify the appointment of David Murray as chairman of AMP but controversy surrounds private comments made by Mr Murray that he would lead a director exodus if he failed to secure significant support at the forthcoming annual meeting.
Mr Murray has been meeting with institutions ahead of the May 2 vote to approve his appointment as chairman and has secured the backing of three proxy advisers: CGI Glass Lewis, ISS and Ownership Matters.
