Roger Munro was a self-styled financial whiz who oversaw tens of millions of dollars and long protested that he did nothing wrong.

But the investment manager, who was also involved in a scheme whose $60 million-plus went missing during the global financial crisis, on Friday lost a last-minute bid to reverse guilty pleas to fraud charges.
