Floods cause horrid start for Suncorp claims, again

Suncorp is off to another horrible start for insurance claims, with flooding in Victoria and NSW helping cause up to $530 million in damage even before the wild summer season starts.

The claims from July to October represent as much as 46 per cent of Suncorp’s budgeted allowance for wild-weather damage and pressures margins for the insurer whose brands include AAMI and GIO.
