The Australian carbon capture project partly funded by Elon Musk’s private foundation will seek its next cash injection from ordinary punters via the Birchal crowdfunding platform.

Southern Green Gas chief executive Rohan Gillespie said he believed many Australians were unsure how to support start-ups focused on climate action, and he hoped crowdfunding could be the missing link on the pathway to commercialisation.
