Another series of floods in Australia has highlighted the risks of wild-weather disasters and threatens to push up already rocketing insurance premiums.

Heavy rain warnings in NSW, stretching from Newcastle through to Sydney and Nowra, came on Monday as almost 30,000 people faced evacuation orders.
