Jim Chalmers has met some of Wall Street’s most prominent investors including chief executives at Blackstone and Citi, as he prepares for a major summit to promote the power of Australian superannuation funds and the potential for billions of dollars to flow into the United States.

The treasurer met with Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman and Citi’s Jane Fraser in Washington, and is scheduled to discuss investment opportunities with JPMorgan chief executive Jamie Dimon on Tuesday.
