Brookfield-backed debt collection giant Panthera finds new owner

Brookfield-backed Panthera Finance has been acquired by privately owned credit agency Francom after it collapsed into administration this year following a dispute between the founders of the debt collection group.

Brookfield Special Investments appointed PwC in June. Since then, the administrators have been in discussions with various parties about buying the company founded by twin brothers Jamie and Mathew Hough in 2004.
