BoQ parachutes chairman into CEO’s role

Bank of Queensland has appointed executive chairman Patrick Allaway as chief executive to replace George Frazis, who was forced out of the regional bank suddenly in November last year.

Mr Allaway will step down from the board of directors immediately and remain in the CEO position at the $4 billion lender until at least December 2024, sources at the bank told The Australian Financial Review. An ASX announcement is expected on Monday morning.
