AMP trio fall, Murray, De Ferrari under pressure
AMP chief executive Francesco De Ferrari faces enormous pressure from staff, shareholders and institutional clients to radically overhaul the business model and culture of the 170-year-old wealth management firm after the resignations of chairman David Murray, former Treasury secretary John Fraser and new AMP Capital boss Boe Pahari.
The resignations came in the wake of The Australian Financial Review's investigation into the company, which revealed a sexual harassment claim against the recently-promoted Mr Pahari by a female subordinate, Julia Szlakowski, settled in 2018, and for which he apologised for the first time on Monday afternoon.
