Consolidation activity in Australia’s junior gold sector is again gathering pace with Bendigo Mining and BCD Resources poised to merge.

Both Bendigo and BCD (the former Beaconsfield Mining) had trading in their shares halted yesterday morning citing the pending announcement of a merger proposal.
