Small bank targets a niche product the big four have long neglected

The return of inflation and higher funding costs mean stability and scale are more valued than during the easy money era. Community antagonism towards big banks that led to the Hayne royal commission has also dissipated to some extent after the banks were forced into improving their services to rehabilitate their reputations.
