The coronavirus pandemic hit the consulting sector hard and fast when Australia went into lockdown in March. Before this, the major firms, including the big four consultants Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC, had been posting strong year-on-year growth amid growing demand from the private and public sectors.
