Woodside ‘non-compliant’ on climate risk reporting
Woodside Petroleum’s reporting of its climate-related risks doesn’t comply with the international benchmark, leaving investors in the oil and gas producer exposed to potential asset write-downs and reputational risks, according to a legal assessment.
The analysis by the Environmental Defenders Office is being released ahead of Woodside’s updated climate report on Thursday. It adds to the climate pressures building around the oil and gas producer, which includes an assessment of climate risks by Standard & Poor’s and two sets of activist shareholder resolutions.
