With the government’s just announced critical minerals strategy of an extra $500 million for downstream processing, combined with May’s US-Australia critical mineral announcement and the promise of American corporate largesse bolstered by subsidies from the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, it would be easy to think Australia’s critical mineral challenges are solved.
