SA to remain cut off from east coast power grid for weeks
The energy market operator has been forced to issue multiple directives to power plant and battery owners in a bid to keep the South Australian power grid stable after its key link to Victoria was cut last Friday.
As Portland aluminium smelter in Victoria confirmed its power supply had been restored following a major outage last week, the Australian Energy Market Operator said it was working with stakeholders to fix the connection with SA as soon as possible.
