NSW defends coal seam gas rules

NSW Energy Minister Chris Hartcher has defended the state government’s toughened rules on coal seam gas activities, saying they were necessary to allay community concerns about the sector.
Mr Hartcher said that without community backing for CSG, support for companies working in the sector was impossible.
