Milestone reached to unlock Snowy 2.0 power

Construction is set to start next year on the $4.9 billion poles and wires project that will hook up Snowy Hydro 2.0 to the electricity grid after the federal government’s green bank struck a financing deal.
The Clean Energy Finance Corporation committed $1.9 billion – its single biggest investment – to the HumeLink transmission project and the NSW part of a connector cable that will connect the state to Victoria.
