Greens threaten to blow up gas supply deal
A new deal to deliver a huge injection of gas to plug looming holes in supply for east coast homes and businesses is already under threat from a Greens plan to scuttle the Albanese government’s industry code of conduct in parliament this week.
Energy and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen announced that the government had secured a commitment from two big gas exporters to divert 300 petajoules of gas into the east coast domestic market by 2030.
