Energy World profit edges higher

Gas and power project developer Energy World Corporation reported a 4.2 per cent gain in full-year net profit thanks to higher gas prices and the start-up of a new power plant in Indonesia.

Aspiring liquefied natural gas project developer Energy World Corporation has deferred payments on a construction contract as it seeks funding to complete its first gas import and export plants.

In its full-year results posted on Monday, EWC said it was in “advanced negotiations" with a number of parties and was confident it would secure the funding required.
