The future of CS Energy’s Callide C coal-fired power station is up in the air as investigators get to the bottom of what happened when an explosion and fire damaged unit 4 last week.
As workplace health and safety investigators continue to exclude the bulk of the workforce from the power station in Biloela, near Gladstone, some energy experts have predicted the $200 million repair cost for the damaged unit could lead to the Palaszczuk government closing the coal-fired power station early.
