Victorian Premier Andrews blamed for ‘demonising’ gas

National secretary of the Australian Workers’ Union Daniel Walton has taken aim at Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews for demonising the gas sector, which he says is critical for ensuring a smooth transition to more renewable energy.
The Australian Energy Market Operator took over the national electricity market on Wednesday for the first time as part of an extraordinary intervention, amid warnings of power shortfalls across the east coast.
