A 20-year veteran of the Productivity Commission and its pre-cursor organisations has slammed a car-industry commissioned report into the economic impact of shuttering local production.
Malcolm Bosworth, an Australian National University-based economist, also said the Productivity Commission’s inquiry into car industry assistance would be the first major test of its chairman Peter Harris, who started early this year.
