Ruralco sees green shoots for beleaguered farmers in Australia’s eastern states after recent rain and says there are no regulatory hurdles on the horizon to completing its $469 million sale to Canadian fertiliser giant Nutrien by September 30.

The takeover target said on Tuesday that it had held financial ground over the past six months despite dry conditions and commodity headwinds.
