Ruralco fits global giant's growth push

There are two reasons BHP chief executive Andrew Mackenzie would take more than a little interest in the $470 million bid for Ruralco by Canadian fertiliser giant Nutrien.
The first is that Nutrien was formed in 2017 through a merger of Canadian duo Agrium and Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, the latter of which BHP tried to buy in a $40 billion hostile bid back in 2010.
