Huon takes aim at Forrest over takeover tactics

Huon Aquaculture has vowed it will not be distracted by Andrew Forrest’s attempt to derail its takeover by Brazilian meat processing giant JBS, revealing Mr Forrest’s private vehicle Tattarang made a lower takeover offer for the company some months ago.

Dr Forrest, who holds an 18.5 per cent stake in Huon, last week launched a national campaign against JBS, demanding the group commit to enhanced animal welfare standards across its global business.
