Accolade Wines wants more after Rolf Binder acquisition

The chief executive of Australia’s second-largest wine group, Accolade Wines, is targeting more acquisitions in the premium end of the sector as the fallout from China’s stiff tariffs on the alcoholic beverage forces a rethink by smaller companies with limited financial backing.

Accolade, which owns brands such as Grant Burge, Petaluma, Hardys and St Hallett, has acquired Barossa Valley-based Rolf Binder Wines after a sale process that commenced last year.
