The sun is shining on Australia’s oil and gas sector, and Woodside Energy is determined to make the most of the good weather.

Just a day after Santos delivered a stonking increase in profit, Woodside Energy joined the party by reporting a 262 per cent increase in underlying profit to $1.6 billion for calendar 2021, free cash flow of $851 million (up 424 per cent) and an eight-fold increase in the final dividend.
