The business sector is eagerly awaiting Gina Cass-Gottlieb’s view on several big mergers. Her approach will be guided by simple principles.
In coming months, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will deliver its verdict on some of the biggest deals of recent years, including Telstra’s hotly contested infrastructure-sharing deal with rival TPG, Dye & Durham’s takeover of Link and the biggest blockbuster of all, ANZ’s $5 billion acquisition of Suncorp’s bank.
