Super funds ready to step up and lend to business

It is hard to think of a better way to brainstorm how to build the missing link in Australia's financial system than to gather in one room three billionaires, the creator of the superannuation system and representatives from banks with $1.9 trillion in assets, super funds with investments of $265 billion and the $135 billion Future Fund.
That's what happened on Thursday at the Sydney penthouse apartment of cardboard box king Anthony Pratt who hosted the Superfunds Round Table chaired by The Australian Financial Review's editor in chief Michael Stutchbury.
