Nvidia’s China hit shows tech quandary facing Magellan, super funds
A hit to Nvidia from China export restrictions shows the expensive Magnificent Seven aren’t immune from geopolitics. But global fund managers who don’t own enough of these giants face their own problems.
Listening to Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang on the company’s September quarter earnings call on Wednesday, you get a sense of the scale of the artificial intelligence revolution that’s coming.
“Generative AI is the largest TAM [total addressable market] expansion of software and hardware that we’ve seen in several decades,” he said. “It’s changed almost everything.”
