Hamish Douglass is coming back. But his days of being Australia’s omnipresent global investor are clearly done.

Magellan announced on Thursday that the company’s co-founder and talisman will cease to be a permanent member of Magellan’s staff next week, but will return from medical leave in October as a consultant on macroeconomic and geopolitical issues.
