Crown's Rob Rankin roasted
Robert Rankin looks to be the biggest loser so far from the inquiry into the company's right to keep its casino licence in Sydney, and could face an investigation by the securities regulator.
Robert Rankin's refusal to face the music at the Crown Resorts casino inquiry was a dumb strategy that could end in him being charged with breaches of the Corporations Act.
Rankin, a former chairman of Crown, refused an invitation issued in July to appear before commissioner Patricia Bergin and defend his actions. He was chairman from August 2015 to January 2016 and a non-executive director from January 2016 to June 2017.
