Boral to put heat on Stokes over board control
The Stokes family’s nil-premium takeover offer for Boral looks like setting up some boardroom argy-bargy over the appropriate number of independent directors.
Boral chief executive Zlatko Todorcevski can draw on first-hand experience in his quest to keep the Stokes family from snatching board control of the building and construction products company.
Todorcevski was chairman of Adelaide Brighton, now known as Adbri, in 2019 when the Barro family attempted to use its 43 per cent shareholding to gain control of the board.
