By offering to take on more of the regulatory risk surrounding Crown Resorts, Blackstone has given the casino operator’s board something to chew on. But price will remain a sticking point.
It seems particularly appropriate that Blackstone’s revised offer for Crown Resorts seeks to put the Crown executive chairman Helen Coonan and her investors in a similar position to a punter in a casino.
