With the Anglo American boardroom still firmly shut to BHP’s advances, Mike Henry is taking his takeover campaign directly to the people who will ultimately decide the fate of his twice-rejected bid.

At the annual Bank of America mining conference in Miami on Tuesday night, the BHP chief made an impassioned pitch (for the always restrained Henry, anyway) to Anglo investors, in effect arguing they need to decide who they trust more.
